    Co.D, 42nd Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Tenn., DeKalb Rangers, DeKalb Co. GA Private July 2, 1962. Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863 and paroled there July 6, 1863. Surrendered at Greensboro, N.C. April 26, 1865

    Served with 42nd GA Inf. Regiment, with the war over, David started for home from Greensboro, NC.
